Each of the cards contain a cartoon-likeness of the game’s companions, as well as a pun or play on words involving a trait, characteristic, or common phrase of theirs. For instance, since Piper is a reporter that runs the newspaper Publick Occurrences in Diamond City, her card reads, “It’s no news that you’re pretty cute, Valentine”, while Preston Garvey (notorious for settlement aid requests) espouses, “You’ve made a settlement in my heart, Valentine”.

As seen in the gallery below, all of the characters are made to look as adorable as possible, including Strong the Super Mutant, who still somehow maintains his sense of brute superiority. Obviously, though, the immortal Dogmeat is clearly the most endearing of them all.

Of course, this is far from the first time that a Fallout 4 fan has used their artistic abilities to create stuff related to Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG. Prior to the title’s release, in fact, one person created a homemade Pip-Boy using a 3D printer. Then, well after the game had been out, another dedicated player decided to craft a realistic-looking version of one of the game’s weapons by building an intricately detailed pipe bolt action pistol replica. Nevertheless, Bakos’ Valentines are undoubtedly a lot more useful to the gaming community than the other two pieces mentioned.

Should Fallout 4 not be some gamers’ cup of tea, there’s always other alternatives out there to spread the love. As it happens, there are plenty of video game Valentine’s Day cards to reflect practically all tastes and genres. So, whether its Portal 2 or The Elder Scrolls on the card, the most important thing is that folks are showing those they love that they’re appreciated.
