Players can choose from a variety of characters to choose from called Operators, which all come with their own special abilities as well as specific classes that can make them useful in either PVP or PVE. With a variety of Operators to pick from, these are by far the best ones that players will enjoy using.
6 Ram
As an Exo operative, Ram can be a great character for players to use as long as they understand his abilities and have the time to master him. Many of Ram’s abilities require a player that is willing to take risks and has precise aim when it comes to close combat. These specific abilities first include a throwing axe which can do some decent damage if a player manages to hit an enemy with it.
Although Ram is all for the danger, players can push foes back with a Gravity Strike when the battlefield becomes too heated. His greatest ability of all that players will want to master is his Hyperdash Lunge. This allows Ram to bolt into a group of enemies with his jets and deal an immense amount of area damage splitting up an enemy team or a group of AI foes.
5 Brisa
For players that prefer playing secretive or sneaking around the map, there are even Recon operatives like Brisa that can fulfill this need. Although she may not seem as useful in expedition mode, she still has her uses to prevent her teammates from walking blindly into a swarm of enemies. However, many should admit her best features are active when going against enemy players.
By using her Tactical cloak, Brisa becomes invisible to the enemy, allowing her to climb around unnoticed and report back to the team any upcoming enemies or attack them from the shadows. To make her quick escape, she may throw down a Glass Mine Trap that not only damage but also traps an enemy inside. Finally, she can also hit enemies from a distance with her lethal bolt-action rifle, which can do substantial damage if she hits.
4 Mongoose
Although Mongoose is a typical trooper class, he still has his uses, especially as he is one of the most approachable characters for players to learn. Equipped with two simple grenades, players can either throw a Frag Grenade to take on the offensive and face off against enemies or throw a Smoke Grenade to cover themselves and their allies.
Like any Trooper operative, he also has a decent amount of healing regeneration, which means he doesn’t need to rely on a support operative as often. Mongoose is all about destruction, as his main ability suggests, which equips him with a grenade launcher he can use to wipe out groups of oncoming enemies. Gamers that are new to Shatterline but are fans of FPS games are sure to want to try Mongoose first.
3 Malva
Those that are looking for an alternative to intense combat and instead prefer to stay in the back supporting their teammates will need to look no further than a Support operative like Malva. This healer class has a limited amount of offensive firepower with the few abilities she has. Players can protect themselves with not only a gun but also her Drone Pinscher, which can be deployed to follow her around and attack enemies.
Besides this, the rest of Malva’s abilities are strictly for healing purposes, such as throwing down a Medkit that teammates can use. In more dire situations, a player can deploy a stronger heal with her healing station that creates an area that gradually aids teammates as well as reduces damage.
2 Orbit
Although Orbit may look menacing, this man is hoping to reverse the horrid effects the Crystalline has had on his body; however, in doing this, he must continue to use them to defend himself and his teammates. As a Trooper class like Mongoose, those that have finally grown confident with using the previous choice may want to raise the risk with Orbit.
His Spy Drone allows him to locate enemy locations not only around corners but also through walls, making it a great ability to use in PVP. His true power is revealed while using his Crystalline Injection; when used on others, it will disintegrate their health. However, when using it on Orbit, it increases his defense, allowing players to have a more aggressive play style.
1 Strix
Strix is not only entertaining to play but also a great choice due to her usefulness. This Exo operative is one of the characters that can only conceal drops in PvE, but this isn’t the only reason to pick her, as she can make dealing with enemies easy. Using her Wall Grenade will allow players to block enemy paths or trap them in buildings.
Combining this with her Crystalline grenade allows her to pace a damaging effect on the floor that will gradually eat away at an enemy’s health. Finally, she also comes equipped with a heavy machine gun allowing players to rapidly down enemies, combining all these abilities together can make Strix into a killing machine as she blocks enemies into rooms and brings them to their demise.
